Hiroki Tachiiri

CEO / Founder

Hiroki started ArMania in the beginning of 2014 with the idea that the internet can change the world. His background is from international (social) development / International relations as his major at under-graduate university and post-graduate. His professional experience mainly came from online industry with a lot of business development and some marketing. His affiliation with Armenia went back to 2009 when he visited there for his project at a local NGO for his study. Since then he has made a lot of connections with Armenians not only in Armenia but also around the world and keep the connections to date. The idea of ArMania stemmed from his academic background and his professional experience by thinking that combining both knowledge, skills and experiences from these separate and unrelated areas, it would be possible to bring an impact to the Society of Armenia to develop further because online can bring about a lot more opportunities even for people with very limited resources. Also, his passion towards international development pushed him to start realizing this idea. His vision is to make ArMania as the portal site where everybody interested in Armenia can come to find out the information they want and make more people know about Armenia and eventually start more offline social business activities with spillover from ArMania. He acquired bachelor of international social development with Distinction from the University of Western Sydney and Master of International Affairs from the Australian National University.
